I’m Brit Aguirre—a daughter of coal country and a believer in what’s possible. I’ve spent my life helping West Virginians heal. I’m running for Congress because our people deserve better than broken promises and political games. It’s time someone fought for us.

I was born and raised in Logan County, on the ballfields, in the classrooms, and in a community that has known both hardship and grit. I became a trauma-informed healer because I saw how much care our people needed after addiction, after loss, after being left behind.
I built my own wellness center, Transformations, from the ground up. I’ve worked in recovery centers, sat with grieving families, and helped folks heal without a safety net. Just hard work, love, and purpose.
Carol Miller made money off the companies that fueled our opioid crisis. She protected her own business interests while our neighbors suffered. That is not leadership. I’m running for Congress because West Virginians deserve someone who shows up, listens, and fights like hell. I’ve lived the struggle. I’ve led with care.
And I'm ready to take our fight to Washington.

"This race is about whose side you’re on: the people of West Virginia, or the corporate profiteers."

People Over Profit

Too many hardworking West Virginians are doing everything right but still falling behind. I believe in building an economy that works for the people who power it. That means protecting workers’ rights, raising wages, and making sure families can afford the basics like food, housing, child care without sacrificing their dignity to get by.

Healthy Communities

I’ve spent years helping people recover from trauma, loss, and addiction. Care should not depend on your zip code or your bank account. I will push for real investment in mental health services, fully funded recovery programs, and community clinics that treat people with compassion, not judgment. Healing is possible when care is accessible.

Education & Empowerment

Public education is the promise we make to the next generation. I’ll fight to keep that promise. That means better pay and support for teachers, strong neighborhood schools, and expanded pathways for students to find success whether that’s through college, trade school, or creative pursuits. Every child deserves the chance to grow and lead.

Accountability & Representation

Carol Miller has spent years looking out for herself and her donors while ignoring the people she was elected to serve. She hid her family’s pandemic payouts, voted to block transparency, and never shows up when it counts. I’m running to bring that era to an end. I’ll answer to the people of southern West Virginia. Not corporations, not party bosses, and not billionaires. This seat belongs to the folks who live here, work here, and fight to make life better for their families. That’s who I’ll represent, every single day.
